Time Management is a native productivity and time-tracking application built exclusively for Ubuntu Touch phones running the Lomiri interface. It was developed by extending the existing Timesheet App, with one clear purpose: reduce wasted time and give individuals and teams a structured, reliable way to plan, track, and reflect on their work — right from their phone.
The app bridges your mobile device with professional project management infrastructure. It connects directly to Odoo and CURQ servers, keeping your timesheets, tasks, and projects in sync across devices and teams. When you're offline, the app keeps working locally and syncs everything back the moment a connection is available.
Whether you're a freelancer tracking billable hours, a project manager overseeing a distributed team, or simply someone who wants to stop losing track of where their time goes — Time Management is built for you.

What's New in This Alpha Draft

This release lays the core foundation of the app experience:

- Odoo server integration for real-time syncing of timesheets, tasks, and projects
- Multi-account support — log in to multiple Odoo instances simultaneously and keep all your data in sync
- Visual dashboards that give you a clear, at-a-glance picture of exactly where your time is going
- Full project and task hierarchy: Projects → Subprojects → Tasks → Subtasks, just like the desktop experience

Technical Foundation
----------------------------------
Time Management is built as a native Lomiri/Ubuntu Touch application using QML and JavaScript for the user interface, with Python handling server communication and sync logic, and C++ for performance-critical components. It is packaged and distributed via Clickable, the standard build and deployment tool for Ubuntu Touch apps, and is available on the OpenStore at open-store.io/app/ubtms.

Architecture & Modules

The app is organized into the following functional areas:

- Accounts — Connect to CURQ or Odoo servers, or run in standalone local mode. Supports multiple simultaneous server connections.
- Projects — Full project lifecycle management with stages, progress tracking, and nested subproject support.
- Tasks — Personal task stages, assignee management, priorities, deadlines, and subtask hierarchies.
- Timesheets — Timer-based time tracking with Eisenhower priority matrix integration and server sync.
- Activities — Schedule, log, and track activities tied to projects and tasks.
- Dashboard — Visual analytics and time-use charts, giving you a real picture of your productivity.
- Push Notifications — A dedicated background daemon (ubtms-daemon) handles real-time push alerts for task assignments and project updates.
- Settings — Manage sync preferences, app theme (including full dark mode), and connected accounts.


Known Issue
------------------------
This is a alpha release and some rough edges remain:

- The user interface is still being polished and the current design is not final
- The app may occasionally struggle to load deeply nested project and task structures
- General performance and stability improvements are ongoing
