About Sonic Player

Stream and browse your personal music library from any Subsonic-compatible server (Navidrome, Nextcloud, etc.). Sonic Player lets you explore your albums, artists and playlists, mark favourites, and download tracks for offline listening — even when your screen is off.

Recent Changes

Playlists
- "Add to an existing playlist" option available from almost all track lists and the player screen.
- Badge showing the number of playlists containing a track, updated in real time.

Play queue
- Player lightly redesigned.
- Reorder upcoming tracks via drag-and-drop by long-pressing.
- Option to add a track to the current playlist using: "Play next" or "Move to end of queue".
- Queue settings (order, position, repeat, shuffle) are saved and restored on restart.

New : "night mode"
- Bedside clock screen on the player page.
- it's displaying the time and current track. Swipe left/right to change tracks. Swipe up/down to adjust screen brightness. Tap once to exit night mode. Double-tap to add/remove the track from your favourites.

Offline
- "Full Albums" tab with an alphabetical bar and sorting by artist.
- Shuffle playback across all offline content.

Miscellaneous
- "Play" button on the album header.
- "Shuffle" button on track lists.
- Artist thumbnail on the Artist page.

Fixes and improvements
- More reliable cache refresh.
- Streamlined offline reloads.
- Incremental synchronisation.
- Faster counting of playlists and tracks.
- Rounded corners standardised across all album/artist covers.
- Settings page reorganised into tabs.

UPDATE: It is now working with Nextcloud Music and it really looks promising. Haven't tested extensively but this might be a good way to sycn music and playlist across your UT devices 😄 Sadly still not compatible with Nextcloud Music (token based authentication not supported) which is the usual issue with these subsonic/ampache UT apps. Hopefully soon it'll work 😄
