About NextMarks
Native Nextcloud Bookmarks client for Ubuntu Touch.
NextMarks lets you search and browse bookmarks stored in the **Bookmarks** app for Nextcloud, open links in Morph Browser, and add/edit/delete bookmarks without keeping a permanent local bookmark database.
Save pages directly from Morph
Use **Share** on the current page and choose **NextMarks**. The URL is prefilled in the Add bookmark dialog. Choose the Nextcloud bookmark folder you want, optionally add a title, description or tags, then save.
You can also choose a folder when adding a bookmark manually.
Existing bookmarks can be moved to another folder from the Edit dialog. Nextcloud allows a bookmark to exist in multiple folders; an explicit move in NextMarks replaces those memberships with the single folder you choose. Normal edits leave existing folder memberships unchanged.
Setup
NextMarks requires a dedicated **Nextcloud app password** in this format: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
https://barrydegraaff.nl/ubuntu-touch/how-to-make-app-password.mp4
Create it in **Nextcloud Settings > Security** and **disable filesystem access for that app password**.
Do not use your normal Nextcloud account password.
NextMarks verifies that the app password cannot write to Nextcloud Files before it uses the Bookmarks API. If filesystem access is enabled, the app refuses to continue until you disable it and retry.
Remembering the app password is optional and disabled by default.
