About Music
Simple Player - that is what the Music app should have been called. Simple is exactly what it is. Connect your device to a computer and you can drag files to your Music folder. Insert an SD card containing music files and the app will access them from there. Of course you can also download music with Morph browser, direct to the Music folder. They may be from a free site like Jamendo or be purchased from a pay site.
Whichever way you choose, the album art will be grabbed automatically and the tracks will sort themselves as the app database builds.
As you would expect, you can play just one track, shuffle the order or play in sequence. Building playlists is easy. Sound output can be blasted to speakers via Bluetooth or Old Skool via the headphone port.

Frustrating and unintuitive to use. Album art intermittantly missing. Playlists clunky and buggy to make and edit never remembers the order correctly. Disappointing default app.

Great but I'm missing being able to treat folders as playlists instead of having to select each song every time I add one to the folder of my playlist.

Would most definitely prefer a folder structure to pick music from. On Nord N10 5G, UT 24.04, I'm experiencing a clicking artefact, very noticeable with flac, less so with mp3. Also, one instance of random track skipping and then stopping play while screen was off.
