About DroidStore
Android app store for Ubuntu Touch via the Android Translation Layer
Recent Changes
New feature: app updates
The store now saves the versionCode on every install and APK import. For older installs it reads it from the file name.
An “Update” button appears in the Store list, in the library and on the app page.
The Installed tab has an “Update all (N)” button.
Your own APKs and apps with an unknown version are never updated, so you don’t get false notifications.
All F-Droid apps
I removed the 80-result limit. The Store loads 60 apps at a time, and when you reach the end of the list it loads the next 60.
Apps whose native code only fits another architecture are still hidden.
Security
The ATL SDK is rejected if there is no sha256. You can pin a hash in SDK_SHA256, or set ATL_SDK_ALLOW_UNVERIFIED=1 for development.
The library .deb files are downloaded over https and checked against the SHA256 in the Ubuntu index.
index-v2.json is checked against the sha256 in entry.json. This catches corrupted downloads, but it does not prove who published the index.
Build and CI
New tools/versions.env for the dependency refs. Only wolfSSL is pinned; the others follow master until you put commits there.
.github/workflows/build.yml runs the tests on every push and pull request and has concurrency. It also caches usr/, so ATL (about an hour) isn’t rebuilt when you only change the UI.
ATL is built in CI on main, on tags and by hand. On a v* tag the click is published as a GitHub Release.
I removed continue-on-error from the click step.
Language
App descriptions follow the device language, with English as the fallback.
build_catalog.py accepts --lang el.
Other
manifest.json has architecture: arm64 and version 0.2.0.
The README is updated: I removed the stray link at the end, added the new features and noted that it has been tested on a Fairphone 4.
New test tests/test_updates.py. I also extended test_import.py and test_libs.py, and test_sdk.py skips when zstandard isn’t available for your architecture.

Funcionando en OnePlus N10. Ejemplo: Square chess y fossify calculadora. Algunas se niegan a habrir. Al desinstalar las apps quedan rastros en el dispositivo que hay que borrar accediendo a los archivos ocultos .

Applications that have never been tested on a real device, shouldn't be on the store.

Apart from what stuiterveer says. The Android Translation Layer used is not open source.

From the readme on the code page, it says that the app has not been tested on an actual device and that it has not been verified that the confined app (which is the one published to the openstore) runs. In that case it should not have been published. Blatantly untested and vibecoded, with no actual care put into making sure it works fron the openstore. Instead, the developer just hopes people install the unconfined app from github instead to not have to deal with proper permissions.
