About Doomsday

Be prepared for the apocalypse with Doomsday. Doomsday is an app for getting severe weather alerts and other important information from public authorities. It makes use of the KDE FOSS Warnings Server, which collects information from numerous public feeds and sends push notifications for subscribed areas. It also supports running unsuspended in the background, if you do not want to use push notifications but still desire near-realtime alerts about impending doom. You can add up to 10 locations anywhere in the world, and also subscribe to alerts at your current location.

Excellent initiative! I can confirm that it works properly. I received a weather alert from Belgian weather services (thunderstorm) via the app, just like on my wife's android phone and the iode on my brax3. Nothing on UT.
