About Authenticator NG

Authenticator NG is an application that can be used for the two-factor authentication for OATH compliant services. It currently supports both HOTP (counter) and TOTP (timer) methods of one time password generation.


Data from the former authenticator app may be copied over:

mkdir -p ~/.config/authenticator-ng.dobey
cat ~/.config/com.ubuntu.developer.mzanetti.ubuntu-authenticator/ubuntu-authenticator.conf >> ~/.config/authenticator-ng.dobey/authenticator.conf

I like 2FA Manager app better, that has better bulk import. I could not get all my 2FA tokens working in this one. This app stores 2FA secrets in plain text.

can not use paste for the key, but the keyboard has a feature for pasting after swiping on keyboard up, so worka fine
